Background

In early 1982, Pol Sazeh Iran Company was registered with No. 13914 and stepped into construction zone of this ancient country, Iran.
Targeted foundation of the Company in terms of technical formation has been based on basic needs of widespread and inclusive bridge construction industry in Iran.
The following lines may illuminate these needs.
In a couple of years before the Islamic Revolution of Iran, i.e. in the mid-50s AHS, the first large bridges of Iran and even Middle East composed of prefabricated and pre-compacted box caissons elements were firstly constructed.
Seyed Khandan Bridge and bridges crossing the Karaj – Qazvin Highway can be named as some ostensible examples of this trend that revolutionized the bridge construction industry in Iran.
Unfortunately, due to few practical experience and reluctance of employers, the mentioned achievement was not verily welcomed and it gradually fainted.
However, the flexibility and adherence of all parts and the body of the bridge to the curvature of project line in each arc and high-speed production and installation made this style of bridge construction as one of the most prominent styles of bridge construction across the world. Accordingly, the Company continued its efforts in order to revive and extend this approach to meet the urgent and critical need to this style of bridge construction across the country.
Fortunately, financial and moral supports of executives, managing directors and major heads of government as well as sympathetic and merciful managers and heads of the Tehran municipality 
to this achievement.

Before founding the Company, shareholders and members of this Company were scattered across the country, i.e. in the most remote and poorest areas, engaged in reconstruction and modernization of different areas of this dear homeland.
Some of these projects are considered among the most significant and successful development projects in Iran.

Regarding the recent years, the Company has undertaken some complex and outstanding projects that are typically referred to as follow:
1. Construction and installation of prefabricated and pre-stressed concrete box caissons deck of non-coplanar intersections of Stony Caravanserai I & II with a length of 3210 meters and a cover area of 32,000 square meters
2. Construction and installation of prefabricated and pre-stressed concrete box caissons deck of non-coplanar intersection between Sheikh Fazlollah and Jenah with a length of 2050 meters and a cover area of 23200 square meters
3. Construction and installation of prefabricated and pre-stressed concrete box caissons deck of ramps of Shahid Sadr Layered Highway with a length of 3350 meters and a cover area of 35350 square meters

Also, a number of managers and directors of the Company have managed and participated in some projects in recent years, as follows:
1. Seyed Khandan prefabricated and pre-stressed concrete Bridge
2. Pre-stressed concrete bridges in bypasses over intersections of Karaj-Qazvin Highway and Great Hesarak (Karaj) Bridge
3. Great bridges (non-coplanar intersection) between Hijrat Triode and Shahid Kolahdooz Square
4. Shebli Tunnel in Tehran – Tabriz Freeway
5. Zulachai Dam in Salmas
6. Wadi Madiq Superhighway to Gilai Sharjah, UAE as well as a highway in Oman's capital, Muscat

It is noteworthy that four of the Company members have individually over thirty-five years of experience in their past working experiences.
